Hi! My name is Makia Jørgensen, I am 30 years old and from Denmark.

You know that idea that many of us have that "hey, I should really do a blog or a website or just something about this awesome experience/idea/world-changing epiphany I've had". So yeah, this is exactly what I decided to do, and I warmly welcome you to my blog.

Currently I have travelled around 57 countries on six continents. I generally try to visit new countries on every trip, but sometimes I fail misserably at maintaining this approach to travelling, as some countries I find hold just too much magic to not pay a second, third, or even forth visit! I travel both alone and with friends. On my blog you will find accounts of funny expriences, challenging events, and unexpected situations that make up my, in my opinion, extensive archive of cultural incounters.

I have picked out my favourite stories from all over the world and I will bring them to you in the most sitting-around-a-campfire-with-blankets-and-marchmellows-way I can manage! The stories will range from a few casual lines to a couple of paragraphs in lenght, and most will be served with a good portion of humor as well. All the travel pictures included are taken by me, or occasionally by some of my travel mates (since it's kind of hard to photograph yourself from a distance).
